Today we started with a great breakfast at the hotel and started the day with a presentation from June Satlzman from Kohl's about the partnership between Kohl's and Li and Fung. From the hotel we then walked over to Poly U and got a 3D presentation on their textile program. Here we also got a tour of their technical. testing. knitting, and sewing labs. Even a great view on their magic mirror that we may see in some stores soon to come! After our dim sum lunch we got to see the Central denim mill. The denim Mill didn't allow pictures but it was such a great experience to see how denim in made and too see how much work goes into one pair of jeans.
After the Denim Mill we went to the sweater factory were Love + Hope is their own brand they make. When we were their they were also working on an Alice and Olivia sweater. Here we got a great tour of the facility and got to see how much work goes into knit wear.
We had diner at the famous Jumbo Seafood restaurant which was on the water. They had tanks that we could go see all the fish and lobsters that they actually use to make fresh meals. We had a great chance to try a lot of different food and delicacies. The steamed shrimp was really good and one of my favorites that night.
