Last Days in Hong Kong and Shanghai: Brian Deichl and Joe Antolik

Sightseeing in Hong Kong: One of our last days in Hong Kong was devoted to sightseeing which was great.  We went to Big Buddha (112 ft high bronze statue), a lookout point, and took a nighttime Harbor cruise which gave us an incredible view of the Hong Kong skyline!
Shenzhen: One of the most interesting days was the product presentation we had in Shenzhen.  It was very interesting to hear all the steps that bring a product to life.  It was also interesting hearing the creative direction behind each different Kohl's brand.

Shanghai: Our time in Shanghai was great!  It definitely felt more like a foreign country than Hong Kong mainly for the reason that it was a lot more difficult to communicate with the people.

Highlights of Shangahi:

Our hotel was awesome.  The breakfast buffet was great and our bathrooms had showers lined with windows which overlooked the city.
Touring the factories was very interesting.  It was eyeopening to see the brands at Kohl's being mass-produced within the factory.  The factories we toured were very nice compared to what we had thought they'd be.
We attended a Chinese Acrobat Show which had all of us in awe.
Sightseeing in Shanghai was great.  We went to a the major temple as well as the Yuyuan Garden which was beautiful.  We also climbed 100 stories to the top of the highest building in Shanghai.
Another one of our amazing opportunities was being able to attend an alumni event with our Chancellor Biddy Martin.  It was great to network and speak of the UW with Alumni, Future Students, and Parents of Current Students.

The Trip was amazing and we'd like to greatly thank Kohl's for the amazing opportunity as well as Li & Fung for the planning!  It truly was a trip we'll never forget!
