Ni Hao Hong Kong

Our adventures thus far....

Our alarm clocks went off at 5am (Central Standard Time) Wednesday March 24th and we rushed off to the Union to board our bus, where we were greeted by the Dean of SoHE, Robin (thanks for coming!).  After a long 3 hour bus ride and a long 3 hour wait at the airport (wait- slash that- we learned what long was later in the day) we finally boarded our Flight to Hong Kong.  During during the flight we learned 3 things. #1 Airplane food (and 3 meals of it) not so good. #2  When flying to HK you actually fly North over Alaska -not West over the Pacific like we thought.  #3You make friends very quickly when you have to sit with them for 15 hours.

We arrived safely around 5pm (Hong Kong Time) on March 25th and quickly found our wonderful tour guide from Li and Fung, Jasmine Cheng.  During dinner we were introduced to some wonderful (unique) food options at our (large) buffet.  We tried many different foods including Sea Urchin and Bird's Nest and enjoyed both, plus we had a wonderful choice of desserts including Mango Rice Roll and Green Tea Sorbet.

Looking forward to more adventures tomorrow,
Danielle and Sara
