Day 2: Brian Deichl, Joe Antolik

Wow.  What an incredible experience in every aspect.  Yesterday was great.  We had a large breakfast buffet at the hotel before heading to Li & Fung corporate headquarters where Li & Fung provided an amazing lunch buffet.

After lunch we heard presentations for Rick Darling (President LFUSA), Marc Compagnon (Senior Exec spoke on Trading and Sourcing), and Mable Chan (spoke on investor relations).  It is incredibly interesting to listen to a company with amazing growth and a company which is truly the best in their field.  The speakers were very open to questions which we definitely had!

After the presentations we toured their offices where we saw the product show rooms.  Clothing like The North Face, Cosmetics like Chanel, and Furniture like Restoration Hardware were all on display.

After leaving the headquarters we headed to Soho.  Just like New York, a trendy spot in Hong Kong with an eclectic mix of restaurants.  We had a few cocktails at Posto Publico which is Rick Darling's son's restaurant.  While there we sampled the pizza was to die for!

We got spilt up into different restaurants for dinner and my group went to Soho Red.  This restaurant was awesome.  The best part was a few minutes after we sat down the President of Li & Fung came over to talk to us.  He sat down and spoke to us about how he owned the restaurant and one of the most exclusive nightclubs in Hong Kong which he put our names on the list for that evening.  Most of us had steaks for dinner which were great!

After dinner we headed to Bruce's club.  After the club a few of us headed down to the streets.  There is a large Rugby tournament taking place in Hong Kong and people from all over the world are in town for the event.  The streets were packed and everyone was having a great time partying.  It felt like a glorified Mifflin where we belted songs like sweet caroline.

It was another incredible day in Hong Kong and I'm looking forward to today which will be filled with presentations in the morning and a chance to explore the city more this afternoon into the evening!
