Natalie Schuler

I am a senior majoring in Textile and Apparel Design at UW. Although most of my work is done with local materials and in conjunction with small local businesses, I am very interested in the global impact of the textile industry. The textile industry encompasses everything from very local handmade crafts that express the cultural traditions of a community, to global trade that affects the global economy.  I am so looking forward to this trip so that I might become more familiar with the influential textile industry as well as the rich culture of China.

Julia Vasylenko

Hello,

My name is Julia Vasylenko. I am a senior double majoring in accounting and risk management. One of the main reasons I am excited for this trip is to see the Chinese supply chain processes in action. We learn a lot about business-to-business interaction, but to actually be able to see it for ourselves, in China, will be a great learning experience. This will be an eye opening trip that will put into perspective everything I’ve learned during my four years at UW-Madison.
I would like to thank everyone at Kohl’s and UW for making this trip possible!
On Wisconsin!

Benjamin Wood

"Surreal" is not quite strong enough a word. As a business major at the UW and a technology buff, there really is no place more exciting to be visiting than China, and I could not be more thankful for the opportunity to go. Thank you Kohl's! I am looking to merge business with advanced technology solutions to improve the accuracy and efficiency of ordering tools, unit sales forecasts, you name it! Going to China and studying one of the more advanced supply chains in the history of world trade should be very interesting and educational. If anyone out there wants to send a group of students to Brazil or India next, I'm all for it!
